On the surface, AANAC’s 2013 Time/Work study results are a little disheartening. Nurse assessment coordinators (NACs) are working more overtime (48% up from 38% in 2011); they are less satisfied in all aspects of their jobs than they were two years ago; and their average salaries still hover around the $60,000 a year mark.
However, numbers don’t tell the whole story.
